Blog Post Samples

Abbie has experience publishing blog posts in several different formats.

As one of five students selected to participate in the 2013 Hartpury College Exchange program from Delaware Valley University, the school requested that she publish a weekly blog on her experiences. These blog posts were written in a conversational style, with the intent to educate about and promote study abroad programs. The posts also included Abbie's own photography.

HorseTalk was created by Abbie in 2014. This blog is not currently active as she has switched to a blog specifically about the Pryor Mustangs, but she hopes to revive it in the future.

Her first post on HorseTalk examined where she was headed as a new graduate, but the blog also includes posts on ethical issues in the equine world.

Upon deciding to pursue her passion for the Pryor Mustangs in an official capcity, Abbie developed Pryor Hoofprints. The blog has a corresponding Facebook page and will soon have an Instagram and Twitter account. The Facebook page is the most active and features daily posts.

Pryor Hoofprints features information and photography on the horses in the Pryor herd. Many posts are fun features, while others inform readers how they can help feral horses.

Abbie believes engaging with readers is one of the most important aspects of social media. A lively comment section means the posts are getting read and attracts new followers.

The idea is to make Pryor Hoofprints a recognizable brand and continue to pursue other avenues for exposure. All photography featured is Abbie's own.
